I’m a goblin from Finland, Karelian land near the Russian border. I was born in August 1984 , youngest of four children. My passions are surrealism, fairy tales, tragic true stories, strawberry milkshakes, BUNNIES (I LOVE BUNNIES!), painting, ceramic and illustrating.
Now after few years finishing masters degree in ceramic art, I felt that I must develop myself. Keep learning, including a new set of skill in my current repertoire. So I’ve finally started my life long dream studying media arts. Not that I am fascinated of everything in it, but my goal is to focus my studies in animations, illustration and 3D-design. I strongly feel that this will give me a benefit increasing my skills as an artist.
Why am I naming myself as a goblin queen? It is my nick name from my beloved. Years ago he tried to call me with silly pet names such as love, darling, pumpkin, other fucking icky sweet things which I never accepted. They do not fit in my charming melancholic nature. Until one day, he got frustrated at my rejections and shouted at me “Fine, goblin! Is that better!”
And it was. It really was. I was sitting in my rocking chair, resting my chin on my knees and hunched over my laptop. It was just perfect. Goblin. That’s me! Since that moment I have been the goblin queen.
Please, enjoy my nonsense. I like to think I am talented and delightful ceramicist with dinky paintings.
