Christmas season.

Xmas is coming soon. Here are few of my orders that I am preparing for the holiday season.

Kallen Kirppis- action for promotion!

‘The Re-vengeance’!

A custom painted poster for the coolest flea market owner and his sidekicks by Team Imp Affection (aka Lisa Svensk-Armstrong and Minttu Harju )

Customer wanted a promo poster for his second flea market opening: late 80’s action style movie poster, him posing with flamethrower and riding with rhino, loyal sidekicks by his side. We wanted to honor his dynamic vision the best we could, but at the same time keeping mind our own creativity and visual judgment call.

Since he is such a huge He-Man and amiibo collector, we add some of his favorites as his minions.

Except the bloody Skeletor….he got away, again. This time by helicopter! Always has to be one villain in every heroic tale…

This was such a fun project. Wishing to have plenty more of these! Place your orders 😀 I dare you!

Kallen Kirppis:

The Goblin queen

“A goblin is a legendary evil or mischievous grotesque dwarf-like daemon or monster that appeared in European stories and accounts during the Middle Ages. They are ascribed various (sometimes conflicting) abilities, temperaments and appearances. They are usually small, sometimes only a few inches tall, sometimes the size of a dwarf, and have magical abilities; they are greedy, especially for gold and jewelry.”

I painted today aquarelle self-portraits.

My husband gave me a nickname “goblin” few years ago when I was hunched over my laptop, knees curled up right under my chin while watching something silly from telly. He told that I looked like a goblin. Later on he was convinced about my holy “gobliness” when I refused sharing my popcorn at the cinema, the times when he saw me painting on a floor in that very same hunching position and growling grumpy when disturbed…

Ever since I have accepted that part of my personality.

These paintings are self inspirited. I am sort of studying my own behavior when I am drawing my feelings and imagining how they might look like.
I picked out couple of facial expressions/moods from sketchbook and turned them into colorful paintings.
